The fourth digital volume of Papers and Publications has been launched and is available to read here. Available for purchase sometime this fall semester will be the paper edition. Each year, creative or research student articles and essays are submitted from all over the South, and the editorial board selects the best for publication through the University of North Georgia Press.
We had many outstanding authors and submissions this year, including some interesting fiction and non-fiction pieces such as “Sleep Rx” by Kelley L. Donnelly and “We’re the Real Accident” by Brittany J. Barron . In addition to those pieces, we also have a wide variety of articles from fields in humanities, social and political sciences, and natural sciences. This edition also contains several articles that incorporate the use of color images and text. Of course, none of this would be possible without the help of the editorial staff.
The press would especially like to recognize and thank the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Miriam Segura-Totten, who has overseen the journal for all four of its editions. Her hard work and dedication to this publication is inspiring to the press and its readers. Unfortunately, Totten will be stepping down from her position, but her time with Papers and Publications will always be appreciated.
Papers and Publications promotes student learning by disseminating undergraduate research and creative works that make an intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline or applied practice. We hope that you enjoy this year’s edition of Papers and Publications.
