DAHLONEGA, GA — October 23, 2025 — The University of North Georgia Press title Pedagogy Opened: Innovative Theory and Practice, edited by Tiffani Tijerina, has been named a 2025 Open Practices Award Winner for Open Pedagogy by Open Education Global.

About the Award

Presented annually since 2011, the Open Education Awards for Excellence (OEAwards) recognize individuals, projects, and organizations that exemplify innovation and impact in the field of open education. The Open Practices Award specifically honors initiatives that expand access to educational opportunities, promoting and supporting “the use of open educational resources, technologies, and social networks to facilitate collaborative and flexible teaching and learning.”
