For this month’s Year of the Books, I’m marking off ‘a book involving the military.’
I’ve had very little time for reading this month because I’ve been editing. A university press’s genres reflect their sponsoring university’s interests. As one of six senior military colleges in the U.S., it’s no surprise we specialize in military titles. Recently, we’ve even joined the AUSA’s Book Program, and our first AUSA title, Beyond Vom Kriege, releases July 2020.
Despite being a UNG alumna, I didn’t know a lot about the military when I started with the Press. Now, I’ve edited more than 10 military-related titles. It’s a genre I didn’t read previously but is now one I can appreciate, and isn’t discovering new things the point of reading?
Haven’t started the Year of the Books challenge yet? Don’t worry; you still have time. View the full prompt list now.
