“The feeding times vary each day.”
The feeding times vary each day. Although they should be consistent, thought Tom. With their precious ‘cargo’ becoming more temperamental each day it was becoming riskier to feed them by oneself. (After all, it wasn’t Tom’s fault that Sam got too close to the cell, took the crew hours to clean up the mess). It had been two hours since raw steaks had been carefully pushed through the bars of the holding cell, yet a bystander wouldn’t know it by the way the cages rattled. Tom leaned back and took a drag of his cigarette, trying to ignore the strange noises and clicks from the cell. He wasn’t a fan of this alien stuff.
